The WORST CS:GO Major EVER? (my experience)

Going to try to keep it short, this is a tweetlonger regarding the Blast RMR and how all the blame was transferred to MESA.

As I said, trying to keep it short, I will talk more about it on stream if you have questions:

- The guys from MESA (as they told us, admin behind us, security in front of room and player manager from MESA) were all volunteers who weren't getting paid and we saw that behind the scenes there were admins and people from Europe (I assume) working for Blast (since the admins told us that the main admins and Blast staff decide and command them everything), especially the main admins, for example ToMi from Finland is an admin who worked previous Blast events as players/coaches told me from other teams that they know him.

- When we arrived we didn't have a CONFIGURATION day at all and were told to do it next day before the first game

- A coach from a different team didnt have working PC in the pracc room for the duration of the whole event

- During the tournament all 5 PC's when we were sitting on them had INTERNET and we were able to browse YouTube, HLTV, download workshop maps, chat with steam friends, everything basically (only last day we didnt have internet)

- My teammates were told from one of the admins that they saw threats about someone wanting to stab me, so they put security in front of our room, the security guy was 160cm and 50kg (there was security only in front of our room as we noticed)

- Day before we received the security guy, a random fan came into our room, knew where we are, just entered and started talking to us, saying he was a big fan and wanted photos/videos, we had no idea who he is, either way we chilled, talked to him, made sure he was welcomed. Next day we were told to not do that anymore, like its our fault that a fan was able to come there and do all that. We had no idea how he found out the room number or hotel.

- We had every game 5-10% loss, situations where you wouldn't hear a flash pop (as d0cc told me), as well as the last day our PC's had 170-200fps on workshop pracc maps and thats why we had technical pauses, since it was happening to me, KD, Spawns and d0cc. KD's PC was just replaced, me, Spawns and d0c couldnt wait for longer tech pauses and just wanted to play, so we didn't even switch the PC's and just accepted it as it is. Spawnss complained as well about the spray feeling different due to the lags/stuttering. Don't make me mention the delays on everything.

- Every day we had to set up everything from scratch, even the day we played 2 games, they first told us to leave for 2h and come back on the same PC's, then when we came back after 1h, they removed all our stuff from these PC's we were sitting on and switched it to another setup and told us to setup everything again from scratch. Last day as well, I couldn't even use my config or aim_botz, I had to setup a new config from scratch or I would play with even lower fps. (this fps issue wasnt a problem the days before)

- The Blast Admins were super rude and annoying, not even treating players (at least i felt like that and other players told me the same) with respect, while the MESA admins were SUPER polite, helping, bringing food, asking if we need drinks and whenever we did something we weren't allowed, would politely warn us and talk to us as normal people. While when it came from Blast staff, it felt like they were talking to dogs and commanding us as we are nothing and nobody. (this is something people from other teams agreed on as well and the MESA staff said the same when I complained about it)

- On top of everything, we found out from Managers of other teams that allegedly there were players who were sick and had Corona (COVID), we weren't told this by Blast at all, as you can see in my vlog I was entering rooms, talking to them, fist-bumping after games and we were all in the same room when playing officials, Spawnss found it suspicious when we were told to maybe wear masks, when he asked why, does someone have corona they said No. KD and D0cc as well got sick and didn't feel well.

On top of everything, I want to point out that we as a team decided to pay the volunteers, I don't want to say how much since that doesn't matter, (admin behind us, player manager and security) because they were extremely nice to us, helped us with food ordering since the food at the event/hotel was awful, got us drinks, bananas and helped us in every way possible with our setups and rooms, while all we got from the Blast main admins was commands to remove our GoPro camera or In-Ears that we were listening to music before the game starts, but they didnt care that we had internet the whole time and people could have easily downloaded whatever they wanted.

I have not seen a worse organized event and I just hope this isn't how other Majors are organized.

Just my experience and what I have seen.

There is much more, but I don't want to write the stuff I heard from other players and some things can't be shared to the public. Here I wrote only what I experienced.

First day when Striker contacted me from HLTV to ask about the internet and tech pauses, I didnt want to shit on Blast since I assumed its only 1st day like that and wanted to "be a good guy", but at the end of the event I was in shock how awful it was, the only good thing were the MESA people who were amazing and made it much better than it would be.

peace out <3
