ESEA SEASON 42 BREAKDOWN

We’re excited to announce some of the changes coming to S42, including the breakdown of the Cash and Division-based Cups, and the relaunch of Gamedock Pro League, previously known as Pro Division.

ESEA LEAGUE

Registration for S42 is open until the 1st of August. To improve upon last season’s participation we are creating incentives for teams to spread the word and get more teams to sign up. Teams that introduce 3 additional teams to the league will have their league fees covered by Gamedock. Additionally, we hope to introduce a fourth division (Advanced) by next season to increase the competitiveness of each division and allow for more promotions per season. This can only be achieved if league participation improves. Teams are reminded to use their ESEA Points obtained from Premium subscriptions to pay their league fees!

Intermediate

Teams: 16
Fee: $15 p/p

Promotion: 1st/2nd
Demotion: 13th/14th/15th/16th
Prize Distribution: $700/$400/$200/$200

Open

Teams: Unlimited
Fee: Free
Groups: BO1
Playoffs: BO3 Single Elimination
Promotion: 1st/2nd/3rd/4th
Prize Distribution: $150/$100/$50/$50

ESEA CUPS

In order to bolster participation in the Cups we are reducing the frequency per month but increasing the prize pools. We hope this creates a greater incentive for players to participate in these events. Streamers and shoutcasters are encouraged to utilize these events as opportunities to improve their skills and collaborate.

2x Cash Cups per month for all players with a $1000 prize pool
1x Division-based Cup per month for Main with a $800 prize pool
1x Division-based Cup per month for Intermediate with a $400 prize pool
1x Division-based Cup per month for Open with a $200 prize pool

GAMEDOCK PRO LEAGUE

We are relaunching the ESEA Club on the 5th of August and renaming it to Gamedock Pro League.

Timeframe: Friday 17:00 - Sunday 24:00
Prize Distribution: $60/$40/$20 per weekend
Minimum requirement for 100% payout is 20 matches per weekend (overall)
Minimum requirement for 50% payout is 10 matches per weekend (overall)
Main (ESEA) teams qualify for Pro League
Top 8 Intermediate (ESEA) teams qualify for Pro League (from previous season)
Premier (VS Gaming) teams qualify for Pro League
Level 10 (FACEIT) players qualify for Pro League

There will be no vouching or random invites. The only exception will be for players that have previously competed in Main (ESEA) or Premier (VS Gaming) for consecutive seasons. Players have the ability to grind Souzern Lions (FACEIT) to level 10 if they wish to qualify.
