Greetings Phantom Thieves from around the world, this is the social media manager for the development team of Persona 5 for Nintendo 3DS. How you been? As you just witnessed, Persona 5 Royal has been announced for the Nintendo Switch family of systems, alongside the launch of Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden. All 3 games will also be available for Playstation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Persona 5 Royal will also release on PS5).
We are pretty sure many of you are excited to play these games on your favorite platforms! You are probably thinking right now: "What is happening to the Nintendo 3DS version of Persona 5?!" Well, before you come to any crazy conclusion, no, the highly anticipated 3DS version of Persona 5 is NOT cancelled, however, due to recent announcements, the development team had to split in half to help in the development of these versions, specially the Nintendo Switch one. This situation implies that the 3DS version of Persona 5 will be delayed from its August 2022 release to 20XX, being a very tight situation among us game developers and social media managers. That sucks right? Well in the meantime time we encourage you to play other great games that are coming soon this year, including the new releases of Persona 5, 4 and 3 that are releasing on other platforms that are not the 3DS.
We know that the Nintendo 3DS family of systems is a very special console for all of you, a revolutionary machine that can play games in 3D without the need of 3D glasses! And the possibility of bringing that experience to the world of Persona 5 is something absolutely unique and exciting and we can't wait to give all of you, Persona 5 3DS fans that experience, a multi million dollar production that will change the world. We even hired Jared Leto from Morbius to advertise the game and he did a great job at it! Jaded Leto is very cool.
Persona 5 is more than a game, its a video game. A computer entertainment software that stole the hearts of thousands or even morbillions of players around the globe. We know how special this project is and so we ask you to move forward and wait a little longer.
