Regarding Adam's Release
The Release:
We haven't been able to utilize him as a player thus far given Someone's breakout performance and were actively trying to figure out trades for him with his full knowledge. We thought we would eventually be able to find a team that could use him but unfortunately ran out of time. He was released over the break we had after coming back from Dallas. This was done over a discord voice call instead of in person. I've done all other player releases in person when possible and I definitely dropped the ball on this one.
The Announcement:
Since this was an announcement with 3 moving pieces we decided to try something new. Initially, the post was only supposed to be the update letter, but the Rupal graphic got added since he was in the office already. I want to make it clear that there was never any intention or thought put into "hiding" his release. In hindsight, not having a dedicated release post for Adam was definitely a mistake, and while it's too late to change that I will make sure to get that right moving forward.
I talked to Adam prior to his tweet and expressed my regrets about the way we went about his release. We'll make sure to fix our release protocols moving forward.
