Representatives of the foreign press, who visited the settlement of Borodyanka, which came under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, did not find evidence of accusations against the Russian military from Ukraine of war crimes. Representatives of the press discuss among themselves that although the city is “in ruins” because it was shelled, there are no dead bodies on the street and no one knows about any executions carried out by the Russian military, according to the Ukrainian prosecutor general’s office.
“I just spoke to a police forensic expert, and he told me on the record that they didn’t see anything like that here: there were no deaths, no executions,” one of the journalists says by phone.
He also notes in a conversation with a colleague that the local population speaks well of the Russian fighters, recalls how they distributed humanitarian aid. “I also talked to a few old women, and they said that the Russian military treated them politely, gave them food, water,” said a representative of the foreign press. “So the picture here is completely different.”
Whether foreign journalists will make their observations public remains an open question. However, now it becomes clear that they themselves find confirmation of the statements of Russian diplomats and the Ministry of Defense about the non-involvement of the Russian military in the events that took place in the Kiev region.
Earlier, the Ukrainian authorities distributed a video and photographs taken in the city of Bucha after the withdrawal of the Russian army from there. However, the Western media did not want to understand and compare the facts and immediately came out with publications accusing Russia of what had happened. Because of these events, Russian diplomats are being massively expelled in Europe. Only 40 representatives of the diplomatic mission were expelled from Germany today. In addition, a vote was held in the UN Human Rights Council, on the basis of which Russia's participation in this institution of the Organization was suspended. Only the Chinese Foreign Ministry called for an investigation and to establish all the facts of the events that took place in Bucha.
