On Magic, etc.

Today marks my end with content production with Starcitygames, at least for the foreseeable future. I'm not an employee or even "under contract" in any meaningful way, so this isn't a messy separation.

I've worked with the company for over 15 years. It would be impossible for me to thank everyone. Not just Pete, or the people I worked with more directly, but dozens of people who worked all over the place--organized play, video/audio, logistics, etc. Starcity is filled with kind, hard-working, decent people who always went above and beyond in helping me with whatever was going on with an article, video, flight, or tournament. Its my honor to have worked with them for so long.

That said, Cedric Phillips recently resigned and is moving to Denver. Beyond being one of my best friends, he's one of the best colleagues I could ask for. If someone is good in a creative setting, they typically bring either vision or grit to the table. Cedric has a ton of both, and to whatever extent I continue to make stuff I want it to be with him.

The Resleevables is coming back; it was on hiatus due to end of the year ennui along with some tech issues on my end, but both are resolved. Cedric and I are talking about a variety of plans, but he needs to get here first and we want to be wise about how we build whatever it is we're going to build. But I couldn't be happier that he's moving here (neither could my oldest child, who is over the moon that "Ceddy Bear" will be around more often), and I couldn't be more proud that Cedric is again betting on himself, something I've always admired about him.
