#DKCUP Statement - NoFeaR888

We (I) failed, but at least we (I) tried.

It was my baby, my plan, my preparation, ... I did it all by myself. After finding the funding for this tournament (DKCup) in the stream of @NoFear888TTV by @PhayEU @jochemmakie and myself I was ready to start working on what was a dream of me for a long time.

A couple of weeks ago I decided to start working on what should have been the biggest Fortnite Tournament in the Benelux region. Multiple professional Benelux Fortnite players, content creators, and other unknown talented Benelux players competing against each other in one stacked custom lobby/tournament.

What sounded like a super idea (since the Benelux region did not ever experienced something like this since the introduction of Fortnite competitive and customs) I was feeling really confident in myself that I would be the person to arrange something like this to support our scene.

Sadly enough all this hard work turned into a mess during the day of the stream...
Streamsnipers, leaked codes and non professional behaviour. Last minute cancelations of qualified players competing, multiple players that promised to stream during the tournament were no where to be found, people that could not read a few simple rules, ... It's hard to believe, but some of the best Benelux players signed by an organisation belong to this list and they are the ones crying on social media for more practise and can't even take this seriously.

Sadly enough the reaction and acts of the Benelux scene did not appreciate all my hard work.

I skipped multiple projects, put multiple projects on hold to arrange this tournament as best as I could. After spending most of my days after World Cup working on sending personal invites to every single professional players and other qualified members I was exhausted. A lot of stress and excitement before I went out to Indi (NoFear888) to arrange the last few assets for the stream. From arranging the whole event ruleset, designs, communication, ... by myself *FOR FREE* (+ thanks to @ratex__ for the last minute help for the points spreadsheet) and to get this as result from what I thought was a scene with a lot of potential to grow is unbelievable. You guys have disappointed me. But I still believe in our scene, and will not stop my plans because of this one failure.
