Finished Psycho-Pass, goes on the list of "anime for people that don't generally like anime" since it avoids many of the irritating tropes that seem to plague so many series. I'd recommend it, it's a futuristic detective thriller set in a society where everyones mental health is regulated by an omnipotent system called Sibyl and those with criminal tendencies are (at least in theory) identified and isolated by scanning their "Psycho Pass". The series follows a division of the PSB, Personal Safety Bureau, a group of latent criminal enforcers and the inspectors who order them around, in solving complex crimes and hunting down those with a high crime coefficient. The series has solid character development, a diverse cast, zero pandering and fanservice and plenty of lengthy and interesting dialogue which tackles the issues of personal agency, freedom and what society is willing to give up in order to attain safety and happiness. A compelling antagonist and some high drama was effective at keeping my interest and resulted in binge-watching the thing from start to finish fairly quickly. Worth a look if you're into sci-fi thrillers.
