"Why Does TB Dislike Motion Blur?" - because it makes things harder to see and is a really bad simulation of what motion blur actually is. The game doesn't know what I'm looking at, so it just kinda blurs everything everytime you move. It's not even close to what actual motion blur is. It's also completely unnecesary. Motion Blur is used in films between frames to make the low framerate film look watchable, you absolutely do not need that in modern high framerate gaming. There are very few games that do it well, I only leave it on when I'm playing racing games. Some "per object" motion blur is pretty good, but more often than not it's just a case of slapping on a full screen filter and making everything look stupid. I can't see why you'd ever want to turn it on in things like competitive shooters, why on earth would you what to lower the clarity of your vision? That doesn't make much sense to me at all. TL:DR Motion blur is usually rubbish, so I turn it off.
