Advice for PR companies. You only make matters worse when you deny pre-release review code. People like me are still going to try to look at your game, buying it is not a big deal, all you're doing is creating a situation where we can't spend as much time with your title and we're more likely to be more dismissive of it as a result and our coverage will be rushed because guess what, there are 30x as many games as one person could ever hope to cover in detail coming out every single month. We've gotta move onto the next thing asap because our jobs depend on it. If your game sucks, we're going to find out anyway, you can't hide it. Denying us pre-release access is only going to piss off the few preorder customers that got suckered in and leave a lasting negative impression of the company it is your job to represent. If your game is good, you would prefer I assume that we spend as much time as possible discovering just how good, getting further invested into the experience. Get it to us early and we can allot the proper amount of time in our schedules. If we're scrambling for it around launch, well the result is going to be more rushed or hey, there just won't be a video at all. Now if you're releasing absolute tosh, then you'd probably be ok with that, you'd rather one of us not shred the title, but if as I would like to believe you are repping a title that you believe in, that coverage especially from a large Youtube channel is key to getting the word out. Far be it from me to tell you how to do your jobs, but Public Relations can't really be done if you're going to hide your games from the public. Really, a lot of us are very fair and we're quite good at what we do, please return the favour, we're just trying to do right by consumers. Please work with us, we're not out to get you. Thanks.
