Canucks notes

What is the long term future of Tanner Pearson.

Pearson was shut down with a hand injury on January 12th, he hurt the hand on November 9th.

The latest on Pearson is that he has had 6-7 surgeries so far and the hope is he is done with surgeries.

The re-hab is still a long road ahead for Pearson, still too early to know if he will play next season.

Ethan Bear is an RFA.

The 2 sides have resumed talks after a long period with no talks.

Talks with defenseman Noah Juulsen continue as well.

No talks yet with UFA defenseman Kyle Burroughs and goalie Colin Delia.

Been told Quinn Hughes will not play for the USA at the upcoming world hockey championships.

Also told it is unlikely JT Miller will play.

Nils Aman has surprised many with his play this season, it will not surprise anyone if he is on the list for Team Sweden to look at.

The Canucks have to make a decision on centre Connor Lockhart - 6th rounder in 2019 - he needs to be signed by June 1st 2023 or goes back in NHL draft.

Lockhart plays for Peterborough in OHL.

Same thing with center Arvid Costmar- 7th rounder in 2019 - he needs to be signed by June 1st 2023 or becomes a UFA.

Costmar plays in Linkopings in Sweden.

NCAA

2020 5th round pick, defenseman Jacob Truscott looks like he is going back for his senior year at Michigan.

He broke his thumb and did not play the last 2 months of the season.

2019 6th rounder - forward Jack Malone sounds like he is going back for his 5th year at Cornell.
