Leaving Heroic

It deeply saddens me to announce this, but as you know from reading the title I’m officially leaving Heroic. This decision isn’t due to recent results from official matches. I’ve been thinking about it for more than a year now. It goes without saying that just like every team we’ve been having our fair share of issues – team related and individual ones. It’s pointless for me to name them, because my decision hasn’t been influenced by just one. Anyway I fully understand that every team faces issues, but I’ve been struggling to accept and justify for a long time just how many we’ve been having and how frequently they have been reccurring, therefore making us inconsistent, because of said issues affecting players and team performance. I feel like as well there’s been a growing lack of trust between the players themselves, and the support staff. This and so many more stuff have honestly made me feel no longer comfortable staying. I need to find a new environment to grow as a player and as a person, even if that means temporarily not playing Siege, if I get no offers.

I spent a lot of time, blood, sweat and tears into building this roster in- and outside of the game since 2019, so I want to thank the boys for initially picking me up and trusting me for a long period of time to make the right calls for them. Me, Anarchic and Grizzly started from being a bottom T3 team to winning the CL open qualifier and CL, after picking up Sloth, Kayak, davil, and Mrofficer. We also had our successes in EUL like finishing one time 3rd and 1st, but that’s about it. Thank you also to Benja and UUNO for also being great players and people to work with. I wish you all the best and keep it up!
Despite the ups and downs I’m still proud and happy to have been part of this journey.

I also want to personally thank Mrofficer88 for teaching me so many things since he joined and also for spending so much time with me to try and help me become a better person. I’ve not worked with anyone else that’s been this passionate about helping and building people up.

Last but not least thank you to the org Heroic for investing so much time and resources in everyone. You’ve always been great at making everyone feel comfortable and welcomed, especially when we came to visit in Norway.

For me – I’m still passionate about competing. I want to attend LANs and win them. Been playing so much time online, it’s become boring. I can bring leadership to a team. I used to IGL on defense and shot-call on attack, but I’m confident in also trying to pick it up with the IGL-ing on attack. If it’s not needed, then I’m fine with also just listening to whoever’s doing it. I’m a strat nerd, so I’m happy to help and work with the support staff or players to create strats on def and atk, pockets, adaptations and so on, I used to do the majority of the strats for a long time in Heroic/cowana.

For roles: on Attack I’m the best on soft breach and flex, but I’m also confident in playing hard breach, flank watch or entry. Defense – best on usually anchor, solo lurker or the guy that’s put in the death spots, again I’m fine with whatever you give me. The only thing I stink at is Smoke and Tachanka.
