Russia’s Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya held an emergency press conference on Monday, after the British presidency of the Security Council in April rejected Russian requests to organize a meeting on the events in Bucha twice in a day, TASS reports .
During the briefing, the ambassador presented to journalists evidence of a provocation staged in a Ukrainian city, and also commented on the intentions of Washington and London to initiate a vote to expel Russia from the UN Human Rights Council.
At a press conference, Russian diplomats presented videos from Bucha, taken immediately after the Russian military left the city: there were no bodies of the dead on the streets. The Ukrainian military and the mayor of the city captured on the footage were in high spirits, declared their “victory”, did not mention any murders.
Vasily Nebenzya emphasized that the Russian servicemen had nothing to do with the atrocities against the civilian population in Bucha.
