Hasan Piker - The Streamer Awards 'Just Chatting Award' Acceptance Speech
What's goin on everybody. I hope everyone's having a fantastic evening, a fantastic afternoon, a fantastic pre-noon, no matter where you are in the world I'm Hasan Piker and this is The Streamer Awards coming to you LIVE from sunny and beautiful California, Los Angeles folks.
I have a lot of things in this world.
A million dollar Hollywood property, a $400,000 luxury sports car, at least 10 nude Snapchats every morning that I flip through and casually screenshot; but none of those things compare to this moment.
Many of you know that in 2020 I streamed over half of my life on this website.
I had my editors do some math, and since I only sleep 6 hours a night due to my crippling caffeine addiction, they figured out that in 2021 I was live on Twitch for 46% of the time I was awake.
Only two hours of that time was I playing a game.
The rest, I spent sitting in my chair with a cold brew, alongside 30,000 people.
Just chatting.
I'm very lucky to be up here. I'm lucky to have all that you've given me.
But if I could only keep one thing, and I had to give up all the rest, I know I would keep chat.
If there's a streamer with a less healthy attachment to all of you psychos, I don't know them.
But I do know that without all of you boys, girls, and NBs out there typing insane shit in my chat everyday, I'd be losing the best part of my job.
