1st Dota 2 Major cancelled

Disheartening news. I am sharing my thoughts not because it affects me or my team directly, but because I care about the community and longevity of Dota. I've been hoping for Valve to step up their game after a bumpy start into the new season. Give us, the teams participating in the DPC, the care we deserve. I've been raising my worries for the past 2 years. COVID has been a reality for years and we had to learn to live with it. I somewhat envisioned this outcome and that in itself is a bad sign. I do expect more from Valve and their management, because there is to much on the line! An entire infrastructure depends on their decision-making, it is their responsibility, and they should act accordingly.

A priority would be to address the issues created by the cancellation of the first Major.

We need a line of open communication between Valve and the DPC teams in order to find a solution.
A rework of the distribution of DPC Points.
A compensation for the missed Prize-pool.

Additionally we need to address overall issues between Valve and the DPC teams throughout a season.

we should setup a long-term line of communication.
Earlier release of schedule, especially the second part.
More support for the Fan Bundle.
Well-though out solutions. Not rushed! Give solutions according to available resources.

Finally we should also fix our issues within the community.

We Managers should be more unified, since we represent the same community we love.
I say this, because enough people raise their worries, but we barely act on them. We have this mentality that as long as it does not affect us directly, we just don't care. I believe this is as damaging to our community as the lack of effort by Valve.
