Official Statement: Gaia Esports and PG Nationals
TL;DR:
Dopo una approfondita indagine che ha raccolto le testimonianze di tutte le parti, PG Esports ha appurato la non ottemperanza da parte di Gaia Esports di diversi punti del TPA (Team Participation Agreement) e del Regolamento Ufficiale.
Poiché la società non ha rispettato la tempistica comunicata per rimettersi in pari con gli obblighi contrattuali, inclusi quelli nei confronti di giocatori e staff, e non ha dato alcuna comunicazione in merito, PG Esports ha deciso di squalificare Gaia Esports, annullando il contratto di partecipazione ed assegnando lo slot per il PG Nationals 2022 ad Atleta Esport, squadra proveniente dal Proving Grounds.
CONTESTO:
Al termine del Summer Split del PG Nationals 2021, PG Esports ha dato il via ad una indagine nei confronti di Gaia Esports dovuta alle segnalazioni di giocatori, staff e membri esterni al team.
Durante questa indagine, in cui sono state ascoltate tutte le parti in causa, PG Esports ha potuto appurare che l’organizzazione:
Non ha rispettato gli obblighi contrattuali nei confronti di staff e giocatori, risultando nelle progressive dimissioni della maggior parte dei collaboratori e dunque la mancanza di punti di contatto e la minaccia dei giocatori di non partecipare a partite ufficiali, potenzialmente minando l’integrità competitiva del campionato.
Non ha rispettato i requisiti minimi di comunicazione social previsti dal TPA, a causa prima di un cambio di pagine social e chiudendo poi definitivamente le comunicazioni
Ha danneggiato la reputazione delle ERL, del PG Nationals e dei suoi partner, con comunicazioni inopportune sui social media
Al termine di questa indagine, portata avanti con il supporto di Riot Games, PG Esports ha offerto all’organizzazione Gaia Esports 15 giorni per mettersi in pari con gli obblighi contrattuali, nello specifico gli obblighi salariali nei confronti di giocatori e staff.
Dopo questa comunicazione ufficiale, PG Esports non ha ricevuto nessuna risposta da parte di Gaia Esports e, scaduti i 15 giorni di tempo, ha verificato che la società non ha dato seguito alle richieste che le erano state fatte.
CONCLUSIONE:
Gaia Esports ha violato diversi articoli del TPA e del Regolamento Ufficiale.
Gaia Esports è stata squalificata dal torneo, senza la possibilità di ricevere ulteriori incentivi e/o premi, ed ha perso lo slot ufficiale all’interno del campionato.
Lo slot verrà assegnato ad Atleta Esport, squadra proveniente dal Proving Grounds.

Official Statement: Gaia Esports and PG Nationals
TL;DR:
After a thorough investigation during which many testimonies have been collected, PG Esports has verified that Gaia Esports has broken several rules from the TPA (Team Participation Agreement) and the Official Ruleset.
Since the company has not respected the given deadline to comply with its contractual obligations, including those towards its players and staff, and has not given any communication about it, PG Esports has decided to disqualify Gaia Esports, terminating the participation contract and giving the PG Nationals 2022 slot to Atleta Esport, a team coming from Proving Grounds.
CONTEXT:
After the PG Nationals 2021 Summer Split, PG Esports started an investigation on Gaia Esports, based on reports coming from players, staff and external members of the team.
Because of this investigation, during which all parties involved have been listened to, PG Esports has verified that the company:
- Has not fulfilled several contractual obligations towards its staff and players, which forced the majority of their collaborators to resign, and therefore causing the loss of all points of contact, as well as the players threatening to forfeit official matches, potentially damaging the competitive integrity of the league.
- Has not fulfilled any minimum social communication requirements stated in the TPA, at first by changing its social profiles, and then closing all communications.
- Has damaged the reputation of ERL, PG Nationals and their partners with inappropriate communications on social media.
At the end of this investigation, carried out with the support of Riot Games, PG Esports has given Gaia Esports 15 days to rectify its position and comply with its contractual obligations, specifically with regards to salary obligations towards players and staff.
Having not received any reply from Gaia Esports once the 15 days were over, PG Esports has verified that its requests were not met.
CONCLUSION:
Gaia Esports has violated several articles of the TPA and the Official Ruleset.
Gaia Esports has been disqualified from the tournament, without the possibility of receiving any further incentives and/or prizes, and has also lost its slot in the championship.
The same slot will be reassigned to Atleta Esport, a team coming from Proving Grounds.
