Me and the LCQ

Hey all,

When Riot approached me about working on the LCQ next week, I was over the moon. VALORANT is a game that I have loved since its release and I have really enjoyed keeping up with the scene as the host of VALORANTING.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to be part of the event next week.

It is a little complicated, but I will keep it as simple as possible.

I am contracted to work with Overwatch League through next season. During the OWL offseason, I am permitted to work a number of different esport genres as broadcast talent, with some restrictions. VALORANT unfortunately falls in one of the restricted buckets. This is not the fault of Blizzard, who have generally been very reasonable to work with, and not at all the fault of Riot, who wanted to take a chance on me, someone with comparatively little VALORANT experience under my belt.

Plainly, this has been an oversight on behalf of me and my representation, and nothing more than that.

I want to apologize to Riot for any inconvenience that this has caused, and of course to the fans. I had high hopes of lending my best work to one of the most important events on the NA circuit's calendar, and I want to thank all of you for being so supporting and sharing my sense of excitement when I was announced. I promise to make it up to you in the future.

Thanks

Mitch
