Dear Smash Community

Dear Smash Community,

2GGaming (2GG) will be entering a hiatus effective immediately. With Mega Smash Mondays (MSM) postponed through the end of the year, this effectively means MSM 242 was our last event.

“Final Saga” was shaping up to be our largest event to date. March 2020. We were forced to postpone the event. That was over a year and a half ago. With the hiatus of events provided by Covid, this time has given us a chance to reflect. We have been hosting Super Smash Bros events for over 10 years! 2GG is a “household” name in the smash community. Never in our wildest dreams did we expect to grow to what we are today starting off in a friend's garage. We are eternally grateful for the support and for always showing up to our events!

We will be using our reclaimed time away from 2GG to reconnect with family, friends and continue in our careers!

With the uncertainty and the constant changes in mandates for in person events, we feel it is best to cancel Final Saga indefinitely. We see no reasonable time frame where we can host this event safely and to the standard we wanted it to be. With no realistic guideline to return to our pre-covid normal, we have decided this is the best course of action for us at this time.

To those that remained hopeful and have yet to request a refund for Final Saga, we want to extend a thank you from all of us at 2GG. It really helped us push through as it was obvious hundreds of you still wanted this event to happen as badly as we did. Unfortunately, that just isn’t a possibility any longer. If you would like your refund for your Final Saga purchase, please email us at info@2ggaming.com with the subject line “Final Saga Refund”. Please also include your Full Name, smash.gg email and gamertag.

We ask for your patience for those that paid with Paypal. Due to their refund policy, refunds after 6 months are not possible, so there will be extra verification steps to ensure your refund reaches you in a timely manner. Additionally, all refund requests must be made before December 1st.
