Judge will rule on the future of how Twitch disciplines/bans streamers:

In May, a San Francisco jury found in my favor in the first phase of my lawsuit against Twitch. The jury specifically found that Twitch made misrepresentations to me, did not act in good faith towards me, acted unfairly towards me, and violated the terms of my contract. Today, I began the next step of my lawsuit against Twitch. I requested that the Court find that Twitch’s disciplinary practices violated California’s Unfair Competition Law.

The details that came out at trial were shocking: Twitch bragged about how it can treat its partners however it sees fit because it is a private company—no matter the contracts it agreed to. It hides its rules from streamers and acts to save its own image at the expense of everyone who uses Twitch. Luckily, the Unfair Competition Law prevents Twitch from abusing its power against millions of other streamers like me.

I’ve asked the Court to take steps to reinstate me as well as put a stop to Twitch’s unfair treatment of all streamers.
