Update on #IsiahBrown
Cochran Firm attorney David Haynes has announced that his client Isiah Brown has been released from the hospital on Tuesday and will be continuing his rehabilitation at home. Brown was shot more than 8 times when a sheriff’s deputy, who had given Isiah a ride to his house less than hour earlier, returned and mistook a phone for a gun. Attorney Haynes said that doctors found 8 bullets in Isiah’s body and two exit wounds. Two of the bullets have been successfully removed.
Except for the 911 call and body camera footage, no additional materials have been released by the Sheriff’s office despite detailed FOIA requests. Follow-up requests have been submitted by attorney Haynes in response to denial letters. The deputy who shot Isiah has been put on administrative leave, but has not been named.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Brown family and we wish Isiah a speedy and full recovery.
