Update on GM Promotion:
Hello Hearthstone Friends,
To say that this has been a weird week would be an understatement.
As many of you know, Justsaiyan, arguably the greatest NA HS player ever, retired which means an additional GM spot was vacated. Blizzard contacted me last week and told me that I was next in line for promotion. At first I was surprised because I was pretty sure that at least one person was ahead of me for promotion but I didn't ask too many questions and accepted the offer.
Obviously this caused a stir in the community as no one knew why I had been chosen over Tincho and Caravaggio, including myself. It turns out this was a mistake on Blizzard's end and their listing was mis-ordered. Blizzard has since apologized to me personally for their mistake and I am happy that they were at least communicative with me throughout the process. I would like to congratulate Tincho as the next NA GM and I wish him the best of luck in the upcoming season. I wish everyone a happy year of the Gryphon and I look forward to seeing you all in the Tavern.
