I don’t know how to thank everyone.
I just woke up and don’t really know what to do with myself or what to say. Everything that happened yesterday feels like a dream. I still can’t believe I don’t have any hair.
I started a tweet but couldn’t come up with something concise enough to express my gratitude. I talked about this on stream but I’d like to write it here too. I’ve been dead set on being a force in conservation education since I started college. In 2017, before I started streaming, I decided that my life purpose was to witness and be a part of the comeback of at least 5 species that I care about. Alveus is giving me the opportunity to fulfill this purpose and SO much more.
I do not understand how my life became what it is today so serendipitously and so quickly. From being posted on LSF, to meeting Matt and all of my friends in Texas, moving here, and now founding the non-profit organization of my DREAMS at 22 is unreal to say the least.
The support that I get as a creator from viewers and other creators is unbelievable. The support that this stream received is a reflection of both the power that creators have to unite their platforms for good and of the strength and generosity of Twitch’s viewer base. Both of these things are pillars to Alveus’s success. I am so confident and so ready to see it all come together.
It is impossible for me to articulate how grateful I am for yesterday. All I can say is that my love and ferocity for our natural world is unflagging. I will not let you down and I will build this organization into something that you will all be proud of. Thank you.
