An update about what's going on in my life (TL;DR version is I'm going to have more free time), and how it's been affecting my ability to work on the #KillerAppMod v1.2 update and other LDSO projects.

My (dumb) nickname in the fan community since the release of TRON 2.0 has been "TronFAQ", and I'm the person who's responsible for running the LDSO team's social media accounts. (Twitter, Facebook, etc.)

I've also been working on #KillerAppMod v1.2 by myself for the past year, though I have had help in the past and I'm eternally grateful to the other LDSO team members who contributed to the project. Without them (Kain-Xavier and Zook_One in particular), not even half of what's in the mod would have been possible.

Almost four years ago I wrote a post similar to this, where I talked about how my life situation would be changing: https://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1sq49e2

At that time, a member of the family had started to become ill again and needed help. It would mean devoting a substantial amount of my free time to helping take care of this family member.

About four months ago, this family member's health deteriorated to the point that they had to visit the hospital. After being discharged, the rest of the family decided that visits from nurses providing some home care would be the best option. I would still be required to help out, however.

Also recently, another family member had eye surgery. Because of this, I was now doing double duty, helping two family members. At the time I'm writing this, I've had virtually no free time during the past three weeks. (Though the family member that had eye surgery is now able to see well enough again to no longer need my help.)

Meanwhile, the first family member's health continued to deteriorate. To the point that this person was readmitted to the hospital once more. And now, we were faced with a difficult decision. We had already considered long-term care before, but decided against it. Especially with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

But this person would now require around-the-clock care, which we could not provide. So, reluctantly, we decided to place this family member into long-term care. It breaks our hearts to do this, but we feel it's absolutely necessary.

Now, I personally don't like discussing my private life online, and refrain from doing so as much as possible. But I wanted to explain again why progress has been slow the past 4-5 years on the LDSO mod projects, like Killer App Mod v1.2 and User Error 3 (which I will work on again once Killer App is completed).

And, ultimately, I wanted to announce that, starting very soon, I will have a lot more free time again. So I'll be able to do more work on the mod projects, and at a quicker pace. Now that my responsibility to help take care of a family member has come to an end. My thoughts and prayers go with this family member, and I'm definitely in a bit of a down mood at the moment. (I'll need a few days to process what's just happened.)
