STMN Esports (ESP/ENG)

I'll be sharing some context surrounding my entire experience with STMN Esports.
To give everyone some context regarding my time with the organization, for the last year, the managers from STMN Esports (Formerly Mineros FC) had reached out to me with formal offers to join their CS:GO esports club. The vision that the organization and I shared was to add me to the roster and do everything possible to create a team to best represent Latin America, Mexico, and the organization as a whole.
For some time, I had taken a hiatus from competing in esports, as I was living on the West Coast in Canada, and was focusing on my education. Upon the emergence of an unexpected global pandemic, I decided to move back to Dallas to be closer to family. I posted a tweet announcing my return to Dallas, and my plans of competing in CSGO again. It was then that Consequence, the manager of STMN Esports, reached out to me again in hopes of recruiting me with the intent of captaining the team and leading them to success in the region. The opportunity was appealing, I felt like the organization's vision aligned with what I had in mind, and I felt like it was a good opportunity to showcase my skill, and to show what I brought to the table. The team was initially composed of Gonnak, Oteb, Emeerk, Slugy, and myself, with the intent of assuming the IGL + AWP role. Immediately we all saw that there was a conflict with Slugy's availability, as he was also competing in ESEA- Advanced with another team, which took priority for him. It was then that I suggested trying out Poison, a former LAN teammate of mine to assume the AWP, to allow me to focus on my speciality in entrying and to facilitate the IGL'ing. Upon playing a few games to test the chemistry and performance of our newly formed squad, it was clear that Poison brought a lot to the table, and would be a valuable addition to our team. As a team we decided to have Slugy transition to a sub, and Poison joined the team.
Everything was pointing in the right direction, we met with the owners of STMN Esports, and we began negotiating the terms of our contracts.
Fast forward to 3 days before the biggest match in our Fire League division, (vs. Estral Esports spearheaded by an MDL mix in Kobruh and Temperature, Secret Agent and co.) We had our practice already scheduled with some scrims and server time planned, and the trio were nowhere to be found. Phone calls were made, text messages, steam messages, and there was complete and utter silence from the 3 other players. They had stood us up, days before our biggest encounter, which would of course decide which team would lead the standings in the conference, and would qualify to the LAN tournament for the Blast Premiere in Argentina. The day went by, and the following afternoon Gonnak, and Beto both finally communicated that they were upset with the organization, and had decided not to participate in practice as a result. I understood their frustration, though Poison and I weren't responsible for the delays from the organization, we were interested only in doing what was in our control: Practicing and preparing for the win.
Fast forward to the day of the match, minutes before the game vs. Estral Esports, we get news that Gonnak, Oteb, and Emeerk are refusing to play the match and are threatening to forfeit altogether should the organization not pay their agreed amount immediately. (There were no legally binding, written agreements formulated yet, and the org had already told us that the agreements were still being made) The owners had shown good faith, they had already promised us that they would take care of us, and asked only to give them time. It was in that moment that the owners communicated that they would pay the amount in question, though they made it very clear that blackmailing and making threats was unacceptable and would not be tolerated, and declared that regardless of the outcome, they wouldn't get involved with individuals of that nature. Not only had they failed to communicate, they had failed to attend practice, they threatened the team with forfeiting the match, they didn't uphold their duties as professionals, and ultimately jeopardized our relationship with the esports club.
As it turns out, we won the match vs. Estral Esports 16-13 on Train, though the decision had already been taken. There was an argument to be made in pardoning their offenses, though the org. which ultimately own the spots to the LATAM leagues didn't want to continue working with players that didn't represent the values and professionalism of the Esports Club, and the culture that is being created. There was no guarantee that this couldn't happen again.
For those that argue that we're stealing opportunities from Latin-American players, I disagree. As a result of their lack of professionalism, these players shot themselves in the foot. They themselves burnt their bridges, and the organization decided to part ways with the players. Poison and I decided to respect the decision of the organization, and even saw it as a token of good faith that they prorated any pending dues to the players, though no binding contract required them to do so. I will not stand idle as my name and reputation is thrown in the mud. I'm a person that has a moral conscience, I do my best to bring forth the best for my team and those around me. I am here to represent Latin America as a Mexican proudly; I am here to represent Mexico proudly.
I hope that those of you that are following this situation are able to formulate an opinion for yourselves, and reconsider that perhaps many acted without considering all the facts. Those of you who know me, know what I'm about.
The roster going forward is: Link (MX), V1ko (MX), Vaati (Peru), Poison (US), Slugy (US)
