Taking a break - Here's why

At the beginning of this game, I barely played it. With my background in CS:GO and Overwatch, I decided that I would try to make something out of this game, meaning I wanted to try to play it professionally. In CS, I played semi-professionally and played the game for hours on end each day, eventually I got burnt out after ~10,000 hours. I'm starting to feel the same way with Valorant and since I am no longer playing with Echo 8 in the PAX invitational due to differences within the team, I feel like this is a good time for me to clear my headspace.

I also feel that you guys deserve an explanation as to why I am no longer playing in the PAX invitational, so here's that if you care.

After roughly a week of playing with the current Echo 8 roster, I woke up to a message from my teammate, @phoxNA with a message from Ayrin saying that he wanted to keep TiGG and Jammyz and also Phox and drop me, all this after I was guaranteed a spot with them in the tournament. I feel like I wasted so much time playing just for it to go to waste. When Phox was originally contacted about playing with Echo 8 for this tournament, he made it very clear that both himself and I would only be playing with Echo 8 for this tournament, and returning back to our original team, ASMR after it was over. Phox explained to them that he would only be playing if I was also, so Phox will no longer be playing as well.

I wish all the best to Echo 8, no hard feelings. As unprofessional as this whole situation was, I don't hold grudges and I would like to see everyone prosper. They are great players who have great potential in this game.

As for me, I'll be taking an indefinite break and I'm not sure when I'll make my return. I'll be playing here and there but nothing crazy like I have been for the past few weeks, as I don't really see the point anymore, I feel like I'm going nowhere and I'm in this never-ending circle of false hope.

Thanks for reading.
