My thoughts about online ESL Pro Tour for WC3

If you didnt see the news - https://pro.eslgaming.com/tour/2020/07/08/esl-pro-tour-warcraft-iii-updates/

Honestly, i am dissapointed. With 10000$ prizemoney per season, i expected that first place would be at least 4000 (or, even better, the standard - 50% - 5000). In the end we have prizes for everyone that will be taking part in a season.

It only promotes LAZINESS of those, who believe "why would i play the tournaments (online/offline, no matter), if they are gonna be won by the usual happy (foggy, hawk, whoever, we can get up to any player this way).

Well, that makes sense, for me at least. Those who work - eat. Other people dont deserve it, they have to work hard to earn their bread.

Tournaments are made for best, why make such a distribution. So people that play few games per week considering that barely anyone plays this game (because it is old, and unpopular for whatever reasons) would be receiving pocket money acting like "i am gonna play just for fun, dont care that i lose, ill still get my few hundred, yeah whatever".

Prizemoney should be awarded for top3, or for top4, so no one will be sad about losing in semi's or consolation final.

Other people must practise, and get the results. If they deserve it.

Good, that regional finals were cancelled. But why put the money from it to offline Grand final? Rather distribute it among regions equally regarding its skill level (more - to asia, less - to america).

I mean, there's barely any tournaments in WC3, why make ONE tournament with huge prizepool. Rather have 2 such events with smaller prizemoney.
