I hope we can put this to rest
No one has come forward and accused me of anything, yet I’m being forced by an online mob to defend myself for something I didn’t do. The reason I have no accuser is because the person who made the original false accusation (my ex-girlfriend) apologized via written letter and we have not spoken again since. That was 5 years ago. What’s important to note about her apology, is that it came completely out of the blue. She was not being attacked by anyone or compelled to recant her allegation. She realized what she had done and left the letter on my doorstep unprovoked. Many people behind the scenes in the Smash community know this, and that is why I wasn’t kicked out 5 years ago. Because I am innocent. Not only am I innocent, I was mentally and emotionally abused in the relationship, and I cannot stress enough how messed up it is that I am being forced to relive this when there is no one coming forward claiming I did anything to them. To give some context, I finally had enough and broke up with her to escape the abuse. She sat on my bed for 30 minutes fiddling with her phone, looked at me, and said, “are you sure you want to do this?” I said yes, she clicked her phone and posted the false allegation on Facebook. 2014 was the worst year of my life. She stalked me, followed me to all of the majors I went to, tried to force our church to make me marry her, and constantly threatened self harm and told me her blood was on my hands. Things were MUCH worse than that and I originally had a large write up but I just don’t feel comfortable sharing the abuse I went through at this time. She has moved on. I have moved on. PLEASE LET US MOVE ON.
