My perspective of the situation

First of all, it sucks to see the backlash and what occurred after losing that game 5 which to almost everyone thought was an "intentional throw to cuck Renegades from making top 4". This was not at all my intent and I was not at all expecting any of this to be happening for me to do a twitlonger about that series. After being confirmed banned for a year, this will not change the result of the ban and I am just putting my honest and truthful perspective out there to everyone. I will explain at least my mind and thought process going into that game 5 to show my perspective. We were 2-0 up in the series, we had the next 2 games to win and we would make top 4 which I was extremely confident we were gonna do. Later on, the series became 2-2 after losing two very unfortunate and "bad beat" games where in my eyes we deserved to win, my motivation to play the game was at an all-time low, and tbh I just wanted to leave my PC and go doing something else rather than play out this game that would not change the outcome of us not making top 4 whether we won or lost, this put us in a very bad situation for us mentally to get through.

Starting game 5, I was confident we were gonna get reverse swept and lose this next game, which I know sounds bad but our hopes had been completely destroyed in our minds before the game even started. I thought we had nothing to play for and were for certain 6th place no matter if we win 3-2 or lose 2-3, I just wanted to play the game out, the team atmosphere was nowhere near the same as the previous 4 games. Our comms were almost silent at this time, which I'm sure has happened many times before in competitive play where the mentality of the players are in this awful state after not making expectations they set themself. Therefore under these conditions, we were not playing similarily to games 1-4 where we instead were communicating as much as we needed to make top 4. The start of game 5 did not help us at all when we immediately concede a kickoff goal due to Delusion's tech issue, this was apparently the same that was occurring in the ground zero series where me and SSteve had to partial 2v3 the whole series (https://www.twitch.tv/videos/559943412?t=02h09m09s). From this point on everything goes downhill where it seems impossible for us to remain positive and get the win, I just wanted the next 5 minutes to pass away as quickly as possible. We continue to play the series out but when everyone has lost motivation and comms are dead silent I couldn't keep myself composed. We eventually lose 3-6. I can now see why people would be suspicious of the result but it was an honest misunderstanding. I personally didn't care what team made top 4 whether it be Fury or Renegades as it in no way benefitted me. I only wanted to achieve the highest place in league play to earn larger amounts of money, which is my only motivation to play Rocket League at the moment.
Psyonix has decided that me and delusioN will be banned from all Psyonix-operated and/or LPL-operated tournaments until April 7, 2021. Under these rules which we supposedly violated:

"7.2 Competitive Integrity
7.2.1 Each Player is expected to play to the best of her or his ability at all times during any match. Any form of unfair play is prohibited by these Rules, and may result in disciplinary action. Examples of unfair play include the following:

Collusion (e.g., any agreement between two or more Teams or Players on different Teams to pre-determine the outcome of a Game or Match), match fixing, bribing a referee or match official, or any other action or agreement to intentionally influence (or attempt to influence) the outcome of any match or Tournament."

I feel this decision from Psyonix and LPL is highly unjustified with no certain evidence of us violating these rules, and I'm sure will lead to more complications in the future if a similar problem occurs again where it is without a doubt impossible to tell if a team is "intentionally losing" by just going off gameplay. I also find it very unreasonable that SSteve was not banned yet me and delusioN were, which makes no sense to me at all. I hope no team in the future is put in the same unfair situation as we have been, although has occurred many times before unnoticed where teams had a very similar situation to us, yet were left unpunished. I hope everyone can understand my unfair perspective of the situation, which was in no way intended to be a malicious act. I desire that Psyonix/ LPL also change it from 'game differential' to 'head to head' to decide who goes over which team, this would solve this situation where a team losing one of their own matches can decide the fate of another team from losing/ gaining large amounts of money, and I feel like it's just outright unfair for everyone involved.
The decision "will not be changing as this is the final binding decision made by both LPL and Psyonix".

I will be continuing to grind Rocket League behind the scenes and be prepared for next year to come back stronger. While I also might as well also use this opportunity to focus on my last year of school. Also I might have time to stream more at twitch.tv/frenzyy_rl so check that out 🙂

Rat out. 🐀

p.s. Psyonix you still owe us the money from last year.
