My Faceit Situation

Hello,

My name is Emil and I’m writing to you in hopes of trying to resolve the issues regarding my FACEIT accounts and my account status. It’s a bit of a complicated situation, but I will try to explain it to best of my abilities. I kindly ask you to read it thoroughly and pay close attention. I have two FACEIT accounts: https://www.faceit.com/en/players/L1pToon which I will refer to as my main account, and https://www.faceit.com/en/players/EmilShe1n which was my secondary account that I used to evade the initial ban.

At the start of November of 2016, I got banned on my main account (L1pToon) for cheating, and the ban duration was set to two years. Sometime after I decided to try playing legit and made a new account (EmilShe1n) on which I have never cheated on. FACEIT ended up uncovering the fact that I was ban evading the initial ban for cheating and permanently banned my secondary account (EmilShe1n) on 12.12.2017. According to FACEIT rule book, if a player was caught ban evading, their alternate account that they used to ban evade on would be banned, and the main account that they used would have its initial ban duration refreshed. Taking that rule into consideration, and the fact that duration for a cheating ban is 2 years, that would set the unban date for my main account (L1pToon) on 12.12.2019.

Due to my bad english and carelessness, I never kept track of the exact dates at which my account should have been unbanned, and when I read through the rules I just assumed that FACEIT would set the correct ban duration (2 years starting on 12.12.2017) on my main account. When I noticed that my main account (L1pToon) was unbanned at end of 2018 (two years after the initial ban in 2016) I started playing on it, and since I never remembered exact dates I just took the fact that FACEIT had unbanned the account as confirmation that I was in the clear. I even streamed my play to couple hundred viewers during that time, until few weeks after in November of 2018 my main account was now again banned, but this time for evasion, citing the fact that my secondary account (EmilShe1n) was banned for cheating, even though I never cheated on that account and it was only permanently banned for cheating because I used to it evade the initial cheating ban on my main (L1pToon). I was not aware I was breaking any rules at the time, and if I was truly trying to evade my ban, why would I stream my gameplay to hundreds of viewers? It was a honest mistake on my part, partially due to language barrier and in my opinion, confusing wording of the FACEIT rulebook (I assumed at the time that FACEIT would manually set the correct date as I said above).

When the December of 2019 came around, I was finally excited to be able to play on FACEIT again. Sadly, when I contacted support about it they told me they would be extending my ban to November of 2020, citing the ‘ban evasion’ which were the games I played on my main (L1pToon) in 2018, after it was ‘mistakenly’ unbanned. The two weeks in 2018 during which I played, when I had no idea I was ‘breaking’ the rules because I thought that FACEIT unbanned the account. And now I’m punished by being forced to wait another year before I can compete on FACEIT.

I will not try and make excuse for what I did in 2016. I was young, I wasn’t thinking in long term and I did something stupid. During the time I matured as a person, and after my second account was banned for ban evasion I accepted the fact that I would need to deal with consequences of my actions. But I would like to say that I think I have cleared my debt. Apart from those two weeks in 2018 that I played not knowing I was not allowed to, I didn’t play any games on FACEIT in more than two years, and I have not cheated on FACEIT after my initial ban in 2016.

Taking all this into consideration, I urge you to carefully consider my situation and give me another chance. During the past years I started taking CS much more seriously, both streaming and competing at highest level of CS that I could. I achieved the highest rank on ESEA, I played multiple LAN tournaments where I performed well and I try to do my best in any game of CS. CS is my passion and I would give anything to be able to compete on FACEIT again, so I can go head to head with best of the best and prove my worth. I did some mistakes in the past, I don’t deny that, but I have come to terms with what I have done and I have turned a clear sheet going forward. I sincerely hope that you can help me with this.

Thank you for reading and have a nice day,
Emil
