Response to accusations from former senior manager

Due to accusations made by my former employee Vanjo Chan, then I’d like to clear up some things, as it’s always easy to paint a one-sided picture of a situation.

Unfortunately, I don’t have the availability right now to go into all details and conversations, but I’ll share my side of this case and in regards to ambiguous accusations made.

Firstly I’d like to state that of course I haven’t paid anyone from Dotesports to keep quiet on this matter, and on the contrary then I had a +1 hour interview with a journalist explaining my side of the story. I guess the reason he decided not to move forward was due to it being a dispute between Vanjo and Team Singularity.

Team Singularity is a start-up, and our journey so far have been extremely hectic and chaotic as many other esports organization trying to make it in the industry. We started from very humble beginnings, but have grown a lot in many aspects over the last 3 years.
We’ve never intentionally done anything to cause any harm to any players or management within the periods, but of course mistakes will be made along the way when you’re a start-up in an industry that is growing and maturing as fast as esports, and where the landscape sometimes changes over night.

The reason for this dispute is due to Vanjo claiming he did a ‘good job’ while being with Singularity in the last part of the period he was part of the organization, meanwhile our experience is that Vanjo left Team Singularity when we probably needed him the most, and making a claim of salary that we did not feel he was entitled to due to him focusing on projects outside the scope of what was agreed upon.

Team Singularity balanced everyone and everything financially around half a year after Vanjo was last affiliated with the organization, and gave fair notice to all players and management affected in the period. Everything was balanced except for the outstanding between Team Singularity and Vanjo as I did not feel he was entitled to the claims he made. Earlier this year he then started making threats, and have ever since done everything in his power to cause harm to me and Team Singularity.

I’d like to apologize to the streamers, that were part of our stream team during the period with Vanjo, for not being able to furnish them with equipment from our sponsors during their period, but it’s hard to furnish anyone when you don’t get the equipment from the sponsor(s) as agreed, which is the reason for it never happening.

As I told Dotesports when they interviewed me in this matter around the summer, then we would more than gladly balance any entities having a claim that for unknown reasons should not already be balanced, and they shall feel free to make contact with me on mail info@teamsingularity.com
