I'm Sorry, Harada! 😭

For the record: I never personally spammed Harada with requests for Sora being in Smash. Here is something to clear the air about Harada blocking quite a few @___ForSmash twitter accounts and the story behind on how he got involved in the first place. The following starts from the very beginning from my perspective:

A video listing off reasons on why Sora being a feasible character in Smash was uploaded to YouTube recently and reignited the hashtag #Sora4Smash.

Because it was Trending, I got tagged in an Endgame template meme involving Sakurai adding characters not in Smash into fight against Tabuu. I contributed to the meme with one post as an ongoing joke between a few #ForSmash twitter accounts, but mainly ignored the notifications because I was at a tournament today.

Amongst the many notifications, someone random joined in and tagged Sakurai, Harada, Ubisoft, Bandai Namco, and Nintendo of America & Europe. This tweet happened before my account even got tagged and dragged into the meme, but this person went largely unnoticed as everyone went about their business as usual.

When I got home, I also made a post tagging Nintendo of America thanking everyone that made the #Sora4Smash hashtag Trending before I even saw what happened because I wanted them to know we rallied a lot of support. This was one of the few, if not the only, time that I have tagged them in a tweet.

When I got back my Twitter exploded with notifications and I was so confused as to why. Most of us don't have many followers and are only on Twitter to talk about Smash. I actually just changed my @ to SoraForSmash a few weeks ago and usually only post gifs with the hashtag #SoraForSmash without anything else.

It came as a surprise to me that I came back online to see people upset with me because I left a comment on a meme involving my favorite video game character in my favorite video game. I never meant for any harm and I want to sincerely apologize to Sakurai, Harada, and you on behalf of the entire #ForSmash Twitter community if our tweets have been a bother or considered spam. I never meant for that to happen and going forward I will be more careful about who is getting tagged in the posts I comment on and make sure to keep my obsession between my own circle of friends.

Thank you for reading, everyone.
#Sora4Smash
