Am I stupid for wanting to buy a P20 Pro Phone
Hello
So I was given a pre-owned galaxy S6 by my aunt 3 months ago. My primary concern with it is a very very poor battery life due to its age and the device being known for its terrible battery life even when new. I turn off my phone whenever I go out to make sure I have enough battery to get home with GPS.
I have searched around and I believe a P20 Pro phone would be the best replacement due to it having the best video stabilisation on the market ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0Ft7LctKTo ), its long battery life and incredible cameras. This will enable me to stream IRL as well.
I am hesitant for 3 reasons:
1. Its $900. I will be getting extra money from YouTube this month due to those videos blowing up and I am sure to get a few bucks from my family for my birthday in 5 days. Still a lot of money though.
2. The P30 Pro is going to be announced in 16 days and, based off the P20 release date, it will probably release in like 3-4 months. I am not sure if I should wait because the P30 might be better for me or it will reduce the price of the P20.
3. I am not sure how much IRL streaming I will actually do. I am going down the south coast to my grandparents holiday house so I hoped to stream a bit to show people where I hung out a bit as a kid. This clearly isn't going to be content of interest to most people, from a business standpoint it makes no sense. I would however like the option sometimes to actually stream should I have the need. My cooking streams where a nightmare with my current phone.
So, does anyone know any reason I should or should not buy this phone?
