IMO MMOs
I can elaborate if need be, but I'm going to try it brief on certain points;
Current Day MMOs are Bad.
but some are good at being Single Player Games
Some Examples of ones good at being Single Player Games:
Final Fantasy XIV-(Until end game)
Black Desert
Guild Wars 2

IMO The Last Era of GOOD MMOs was during WOTLK era. I'm sure there are bad MMOs within that or ones that don't fit the bill (and other that come before or after)but overall alot of them were at least okay. They are/were "Massively Multiplayer Online" experiences. Instead of stating what I think is bad, I'm just going to list what I think makes an MMO a good baseline outside of the other experiences such as balance and whatnot.
*Being able to Quest with Other players at Anytime
-This is a big one because what is the point of getting your friends involved with an online situation if there are factors that effect you even grouping with them to do non-dungeon content?
*The Emphasis being on the EXPERIENCE TO THE END GAME, not just rush to End Game
-When the whole point of the game is just to keep leveling up so you can see cool stuff I don't think that it's a good MMO. Why are you going to keep playing? I feel the experience should be tailored and I think that MMOs currently think that including a story questline that is the focal point will do that and I don't think that's the way to create a "magical" feeling every time you log in.
*A PVP Based Existence if one chooses
-What I mean by this is that if someone doesn't really care about being xxxxx boss in xxxx raid and instead wants to just pvp their life away from the early levels that it be completely plausible. Now in games that don't really have a pvp experience that's okay, it prob isn't the game for this type of player BUT if you have even a little bit of pvp and it's not a "quality of life" style you can choose it just seems half ass to me.
That's just 3 things I think should always be relevant, Other things are prob just based on the game and the system and mechanics and blah blah but I don't think that plays into the genre. I'm sure there is other points I can make but honestly if you wana be real I can just say is
