Parting ways with Dark Sided

Id like to start by stating this i by no means due to any negative experience or any wrong doing. I have nothing but the upmost respect for Darksided as an organisation, its players and staff alike. I have nothing but praise for everyone who represents them, id highly reccomend them to anyone looking for a great organisation to represent. This sadly might come as no surprise to many, however we are going to be parting ways, almost purely due to the current competitive structure of hearthstone. Many that actually do compete understand the issues surrounding tour stop sign ups and the consistency of trying to qualify for playoffs which puts alot of pressure and expectations on players. If you arent dedicating your life to the game sitting there refreshing the page to signup to a tour stop you have no chance of competing in these current formats, thousands of players are missing out of the opportunity to compete as within 3 minutes a 256 player tournament is filled. Its as if the competitive scene hasnt compensated for the growth of the esports culture and presence there are far more players now then when i first competed. There are around 70 million players, and i believe around 10-20k legend players each month running tournaments with only 256 slots is simply not enough for people to have the chance as a semi pro or even casual player anymore. With my life demands surrounding university and work i now have less time to dedicate to the game, i always was less of a grinder but i was able to compete and feel that its almost a stretch at the moment. This is an opportunity for me to have a bit more time for other avenues, im by no means done with the competitive scene or the game. Just for the time being i am going to be less active i would still be interested in representing another team sometime in the future im sure, despite all my life demands i still maanged to compete at WESG this year which was a blast so im by no means done. Its just for now with the current state of the scene and my life im taking a break. I have countless friends and managers to thank everyone that has been apart of this journey it has been a pleasure. Im more then thankful for my opportunities and very happy with the success ive shared, i hope this isnt good bye but more of a see you later till next time.
