Some people seem bothered that we didn't cover the PC Gamer show directly (though I did watch most of it), finding it odd since we're a PC channel. Look, there's really a few pretty mundane reasons for that, mainly that neither of us wanted to over do it since Gen wasn't feeling 100% and my voice has been pretty fragile since restarting chemo and I didn't know if I'd be able to handle 3 conference streams that day. Last year by the time we got to Sony Gen had made herself sick by pushing herself too hard and I was frazzled and croaky. The PC Gamer Show always runs long and we expected Sony to run way longer than it actually did, so it was a conscious decision not to push our luck with my health. Otherwise, snarking on that conference feels a bit awkward. PC Gamer are in competition with us, shitting on a show they organize can come across as sour grapes. Shitting on a show that's hosted by Day[9], one of our friends, also feels a bit uncomfortable, its not particularly fun to do. The format of the show which is mostly a bunch of shortform, relatively tame interviews, doesn't really gel with the format of Snarkathon. I'm sure some of the stuff from it will come up in todays podcast.
As for Nintendos "conference", you already know why we don't cover those copyright claiming, litigious wankers. The response to consistently awful corporate behavior on YouTube is not free publicity, its simply not to cover their products.
