I've not had that experience at any other WWE event. I've been to a few PPVs, house shows and NXT events and they've all been well handled and easy to get into. Queues were reasonable and well handled by the venue staff. WrestleMania last year however had 4+ hours queues in the hot Texas sun to even get in the door. There was no ready access to water, no venue or WWE staff did anything about it, there was no shade to speak of and we saw several people passing out in the heat. There were kids in that line, a lot of kids, it was heartbreaking. For me personally it was very painful. I was coming off chemo and 4 hours of that is not something I was equipped to handle. It got worse once we got in the door. We had floor seats and were sent down a massive underground tunnel that seemed to go on forever. Because of all the delays the tunnel was packed shoulder to shoulder, wall to wall with people. I'm not afraid of crowds as a rule but this was terrifying, being underground with no escape route, with a bunch of nervous, tired and frustrated people. It wouldn't have taken much for a Hillsborough like disaster to have happened down there. At least one person passed out, possibly even had a seizure, couldn't tell, it took a long time for paramedics to get to her. I'm so glad I didn't go with Gen who isn't a fan of crowds, it would have been a nightmare scenario for her. By the time we reached our (terrible, couldn't see shit) floor seats, we'd missed 3 matches and were halfway through the 4th. The experience was really unpleasant and I don't intend to go to another WrestleMania. I'll stick to house shows, the smaller PPVs and the once in a decade time that Raw ends up in Charlotte. I really hope they don't repeat that this year, especially not in the Florida heat and humidity.
