The BK stars situation

First off, i'd like to mention that there was never any sort of hurtful exchange between Denial and BK stars, we accepted their friend requests and were friendly with them. All of this took place in the OVERWATCH WEEKLY [NA] #1 BY RIVALCADE on 2017-02-21.

Here's how it went down: we joined the lobby and we're greeted by BK stars and a spectator with a familiar name so I looked him up. Their spectator was also their coach, who was also going to cast that game. It was the first time I have ever participated in a tournament where the opponent was allowed to have a spectator so we asked the administrators of the tournament what was going on. He told us we we're allowed to have a spectator (proof: https://gyazo.com/15a6844fcbf18d2b0af78cf7a1a5a5b0). This means that this person would be able to spectate the game in real time and see everything.

I was already receiving messages about how he was only a caster and there was nothing to worry about and he had good reputation but when I checked his broadcast, I noticed he was whispering his players throughout the lobby-making process (proof: https://gyazo.com/6d75f0daa43af2a4263926b5f7b5bf26). If you watch the vod, you will see they exchange much much more than only 3-4 lines of text. He even said in the chat he was their coach (proof: https://gyazo.com/72e8e92306b237ff7e24228035008a1e) so we we're obviously startled that they would try to gain further advantage from having a spectator.

The admins were not answering anymore so I invited our coach along with random friends I simply clicked on in my friends list to show how ridiculous this tournament setup was. I was wrong in doing that, even thought this was still within the rules, I pushed the boundaries a bit but I thought they would see how unprofessional this looks and reset back to a 12 player lobby. They didn't seem to care too much and wanted to get the game going, so we did. We did not intend to obtain any sort of advantage from this and our coach was on microphone muted the entire set, which we won 3-0 on lijang. I have personal recording of the whole set if needed. Keep in mind this was a NORTH AMERICAN tournament and it's only fair for us to play at the ping we normally play on, which is 30-40. This is how the Koreans and Brazilians had to play when they joined previous NA tournaments. Regardless, there was no rule against anything we've done in the tournament and we shouldn't be painted as 'cheaters'.

Everyone thought we had won and they left the lobby. Someone told us it was bo3 and they made a mistake, so WE contacted the koreans and invited them back in for the rest of the set. The admins FORCED us on west coast ping, even though we are 6 EAST coast players and the BK stars had ping ADVANTAGE over some of our players. Both our dps being over 100ping. We lost dorado and nepal with everyone on high ping. Gg anyways.

To wrap it all up, regardless of the way you may see me or my team, there was an obvious conflict of interest at hand and we shouldn't be treated differently. I know and accept that a lot of people do not like me or my stream, but this was a poorly organised and managed tournament and we we're unfairly hit by a big wave of retaliation by the social media for being in a sticky situation by the well respect team BK stars.

I'm deeply sorry for the people that we're hurt by this and I deeply apologize for the necessary drama that all of this has caused. I also apologize for how poorly this is written, I am not a native speaker.
