How Sytrax saved my life.
I was driving back from the prelims venue and it is a 2hour drive to my home. 1 hour in I was about to fall asleep so I decided to park at a tank station. Once I got there I turned of the motor and left the charger of the navigator in. Fast forward 50minutes I woke up and car wouldn't start anymore since it used all its battery.
Now I was still thinking ok, it shouldn't be a big deal. I have a phone and I'm at a tank station what could possibly go wrong. Let's just tweet about my stupidity first :) Well right after my second tweet my Phone died. But I had a backup plan for that, my macbook was still fully charged so I could charge my phone there. Nope, I left my charger at the prelims venue. I was getting a bit scared because it was freezing in my car and I didn't even bring a coat cause I figured I wouldn't be outside much anyway. If no one came to rescue me I would've have to sleep in the freezing cold car until 6 am in the morning for the tankstation to open and assist me.
So at this point I'm thinking ''fuck''. The tankstation was closed and there was literally no one around. My last hope was public Wi-Fi and yay the tankstation had it. So I got on twitter again with my macbook, but couldn't log in because I have 2 step verification enabled meaning I need my phone in order to log into twitter :) While being on slow AF Wi-FI I managed to create a new e-mail adress and twitter account named ''Tylerhelp2'' With this I could contact my buddy and favorite mod Sytrax and give him the address to come rescue me.
At this point I was in my freezing car for 2 hours and I almost died!!! While waiting for Sytrax a car pulled up to the parking lot about 20 meters away from my car. He just parked there and 10 minutes later the random car pulled up to me and parked in front of me. I was like wtf is going on, the guy stepped out of his car and literally stood next to my car and stared at me for a good 10 minutes. I just looked away and tried to be cautious at the same time. The guy went back to his car and just sat there. 5minutes later Sytrax arrives and the random car guy just left right away. I felt like it was a meeting spot for some kind of drugdeal and he was mistaken me for someone else or something xD
Anyway, Sytrax brought his jumper cables and even brought an extra jacket cause he thought I might have had it cold awhhh <3 KappaPride. We managed to start my car and I drove another 1 hour to get home and here I am typing this, so that I don't need to tell this story over and over again on twitch. even though that would be pretty good content :)
