KickDrum sat his big old butt down in his favourite spot in the middle of the couch, enjoying his me-time. He was a large, beefy guy with a large, beefy personality. He tended to take up a lot of space and attention.
'Look buddy', he said to Bass. 'This is my spot.' Bass was trying to squash in on the couch too, but it just didn't seem to have enough room for two big ol' beefy butts.
'I always sit here' he continued. 'People like me here. I fit well & I don't need you cramping my style.' But deep down he knew he'd have to move over. They clashed a lot, Kickdrum and Bass. Two big egos. But when these two did get along (and they always did by the end of the night) their mutual dynamic was the life & soul of every party.
A smooth, intelligent voice chimed in: 'Guys, I can help!' It was EQ. He was the kind of guy who always meddled in others' business whether or not they wanted it. But though he could sometimes belittle & compromise his buddies' egos, he meant well and in the end he always brought out the best in them and helped them all get along.
Kick Drum grunted & stamped his foot. THUMP.
'Alright.' said EQ. 'Let's get it over with'. Bass let out a deep, booming chuckle and squished his big old butt down on the couch.
On the other side of the room Producer, Mixing Desk and DAW made eye contact and sighed together. It was gonna be a long day...
