Oh and incase you didn't know: not money matching westballz at BEAST.
Couple reasons why I don't want to do it, I talked about it on stream but incase you missed it, it really came down to him not communicating at all. I didn't even know he was going until very recently, he didn't ask me or anything, just came into my chat and assumed we were money matching. Notably, for G3 he was going to cancel because his controller broke 2 weeks before and I had to hear this from others, not him, which further adds to it.
Two other reasons also factored in:
1. He had to ask for donations to go.
Now, I didn't really have a problem with this to begin with, but after talking to some people I realized that Westballz was essentially doing the same thing as HBox tried to before - basically MMing with the community's money instead of his own.
If he can't afford the trip (around 600 dollars) and needs donation money then he shouldn't be money matching people for a $1000 in a match-up he has a 4-1 score in, simple as that.
He came into my chat and said something along the lines of "I just didn't want to spend a lot of money at once" (refering to the trip, not the $1000 MM, r o f l)
Quickly skimming his stream vods also show that Westballz had a donation goal on his stream, and it reached like 90/700, yet he is still going, implying that he didn't need the money in the first place.
2. The second reason is that it's PAL, and that I haven't been able to compete in the US since September. Both significantly lower my odds obviously, and call me a chicken or whatever, but unless you have 2 million regular viewers on twitch like M2K you're not going to disregard something like this when you're doing a $1000 bet.
Tldr: he never actually asked me, and I don't feeling doing it given the circumstances.
This became way longer of a rant than I expected hah, but yeah.
I still want to MM westballz, but it'll have to happen at a better time. Hopefully we'll get to play in bracket anyway, unless he loses to Wobbles (or muck duck) before he makes it to me ;)
