The new guy on commentary is awesome, he gives a big fight feel and legitimacy to the product. Also he does calls moves, y'know, like a play-by-play commentator is bloody supposed to do. His intonation at the moment might be SLIGHTLY over the top, but I think he's gonna get comfortable in time and he already got some good jabs in at Lawler. The setup also allows Lawler to play heel commentator a bit more which is what he's good at, since he can be much more confident in the lead commentator to be able to carry the show. Byrons purpose.... I have yet to fathom. He seems like his only role is as a comedic punching bag for the other commentators to roast. That works pretty well on 4 person panels, especially when Graves is there to tear him to pieces and it also worked well on NXT for that reason but less so on the main roster, mostly because JBL's roasting missing the mark more than it hits imho. Anyway, Smackdown had some good matches, Cena put two guys over with a promo, the crowd was hot (or they did a better job of piping in canned audience response than normal because I can usually see it) and oh yeah, Roman Reigns WASNT ON THE BLOODY SHOW for once. Don't overexpose your goddamn champion, especially when he cant talk to save his life and never loses clean ever. MizTV was hilarious, possible Ziggler heel turn is what he needs for me to not be utterly sick of him and that seems to be happening, R-Truth can do this "forgetful" gimmick for as long as he wants and I will still be entertained by it, Owens vs Ambrose was a great match with a great finish which fit their characters well and legitimised the feud. Just a good show overall I think. Half of me wants to skip watching Raw and just watch Smackdown, since they recap the important bits from Raw anyway and ITS NOT 3 BLOODY HOURS LONG.
