I've seen tweets today that boil down to this:
"If you don't have these conservative values in your book, I won't support your work."
and
"If you don't have these progressive values in your book, I won't support your work."
The answer to these threats of personal boycotts is always this:
Believe in yourself, write for yourself, and tell the best story you can.
If it's a story worth telling, readers will find it.
