I honestly love that I live in a country in which anyone, regardless of race or station, can both aspire to and actively pursue the highest office in the land. But I also cringe when I see, as I have begun seeing this morning, conservative friends extolling the virtues of @realDonaldTrump. This is why smart liberals, who genuinely long for conservative voices they can champion, can't get behind a Republican electorate that in any way, shape, or form finds someone like Donald Trump to be a viable candidate for anything other than Clown in Chief. If you think Trump can and should be the mouthpiece of this nation, you are not a person worth paying any attention to. If you can’t see he’s a joke, what does that make you?
