A lion and a common house cat share more than 95% of the same DNA; no one disputes they are related. Humans and chimps share more than 98% of the same DNA, yet our relationship to them continues, in the 21st century, when we've used science to split the atom, fly to the Moon, cure incurable diseases, and invent the Internet, to be one of the most hotly debated scientific facts.
