So this is about Co-optional Animated. Our animated was being funded by Polaris to make the videos and he was being paid reasonably well as a loss-leader for the channel, since Polaris takes a percentage of everyones earnings and in theory anyway is supposed to reinvest some of that into content. Now that he's off the Polaris channel the funding isn't there anymore, but many people have expressed the desire for the animated shows to continue.

I'm going to be funding him on a per episode basis for $200 each and he is looking to viewers to see if the rest can be made up with Patreon crowd-funding. Ideally, this will only be a temporary solution. If the animated series does well and we are able to make it commercially viable with things like merchandise sales, I should be able to fund the whole thing myself and Patreon funding will no longer be required.

The animators Patreon page can be found here if you wish to contribute - http://www.patreon.com/cooptionalanimation - Animation on Youtube is unfortunately difficult to monetize well, due to Youtubes annoying tendency to give lower CPMs based on lower run-times, which is why you see so many animators using the Patreon model to fund regular episodes. Hopefully things will work out and it won't be necessary to do it forever, but I'd like to see this guy get paid a reasonable amount for what is a lot of work per episode. Thanks for reading.
