Regarding who I follow on social media...
I wanted to make a post explaining this since it has come up as an issue. Recently I've received some hate mail from a particular viewer because I had followed his Twitter and not his Twitch channel. Twitch and Twitter are not the same service, Twitter is an update feed and Twitch is a video livestreaming site and just because I follow you on one, does not entitle you to a follow on the other. (Especially when I am unaware of your other social media) Generally, I only follow people on social media when I enjoy their content, whether that be their cool instagram pictures, their informative, interesting or helpful Twitter posts or an awesome stream. If I haven't followed you on a certain platform, that could mean that I have not yet had a chance to see your content and judge it for myself. I don't do follow for follow, and if you do decide to follow me, that doesn't entitle you to a follow back though a lot of you will know, my stream regulars are generally followed back on Twitter because I like to keep my lovely community close, many of them don't stream themselves so I don't follow back on Twitch.
If you find yourself in the situation where you feel the need to suggest I leech money from my viewers and call me a whore, I suggest you re-evaluate yourself. Selling my body =/= playing video games for an audience. Nobody is required to spend a single penny to enjoy the content I provide nor do I ask people to do so. When people donate, it is out of the goodness of their heart and I am eternally grateful!
Urgh, long posts :P! If you got this far, thanks for reading.
