Dear @libertycounsel,

No, President Obama did not remove the words “Under God” from his recitation of the Gettysburg Address. While I know talking about the president tearing down your Christian liberties is akin to throwing buckets of blood into shark infested waters, you might do well to study a bit more history and stick to the facts.

The original two drafts of the Gettysburg Address didn’t include those words (the president was asked, by "Civil War" filmmaker, Ken Burns, to read the first draft). Nor did Lincoln include them in his own address. They were added later. So no one’s tearing down anyone's religious liberty. Obama isn’t a tyrant. He's not hell bent on restricting your right of worship. He is not changing history.

He is reading the speech, as Lincoln first orated it.

As I know truthfulness is something your faith values, I fully expect a retraction or correction to this story. I will be waiting and watching.
