A question for my lawyer friends: why do religious organizations always get a free pass? If we believe in the rightness of a cause to such a degree that we make it the law of the land, why do we allow an exception for people to do exactly the thing the law protects against? Ultimately, what's the difference between not hiring someone because of a religious conviction that your god disapproves of the homosexual lifestyle and not hiring someone because you think fags are icky? What makes the religious person's belief superior to any other peoples' beliefs and why, in situations like this, is it protected?
