Let's get something straight everybody--the President of the United States is not, in all of his abundant spare time, personally overseeing the shutdown of specific government departments, programs and facilities, including the memorials on the National Mall and benefits to veterans. Nor do I believe the Republicans are intentionally cutting specific programs to score political points. While I blame them entirely for the present situation which has directly led to these closures, I do not think the Speaker of the House is hacking away at programs from his office. These government departments have frameworks in place for what to do on the occasion of a government shutdown, and they are merely following that established protocol. So when a Republican congressman gets testy with a National Parks ranger for shutting down the WWII memorial, he is a hypocrite and a fool. And when you attack the president for the same, it makes you no less a fool, broadcasting your ignorance to all within the reach of your modem.
