.@JasonSilva argues that secular society needs more ways for humanity to rub shoulders with "the epic." While I dislike his use of the word "sacred" (the word is meaningless when separated from religion) or "religiosity" (a word that comes with an unnecessary preponderance of baggage), I understand why they are used -- non-believers have only just begun discussing these sorts of paradigms and we lack the language to describe our goals (I prefer "transcendence") as, up till now, religion has claimed exclusive use. http://youtu.be/zLz9cxCeULM
